DP: Process Layout
I would like to generate a book of my process in order to emphasize the importance of my projects evolution. I would like to showcase the book to give equal importance to the process that informed my end result. A strong part that speaks to the level of success to a project is the curation of the process and the articulation behind the reasoning for design choices. I believe it will help me stress the importance of communicating my work as well as truly understanding the potential that my project may holds. I also think it would be a strong piece to communicate process and research in my portfolio.
The idea behind my layout for my process book will be a conversation between technology and the environment. I would like areas of the layout to represent the push for technological advances. I would like size and variation to impact the importance of the content and the level that the content informed my question and project. I would like to utilize overlapping of content, text and image, to highlight moments that connect and relate to one another while advancing my understanding of the project. I would also like to use horizontal type, minimally, to call out those specific moments of greater importance to my end result. I believe there will be a lot of content I desire represented and hierarchy of information may result in an easier overview of my process.

HI Matthew,
ReplyDeleteThis looks interesting. Remember to keep the scope realistic in addition to all of the other deliverables you will have. Also, where's your week one blog recap?
